Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What are the check-in and check-out times?

Standard Check-In Times

  • 4:00 PM – Cabins, Tiny Homes, Puma Camper, and Glamping Pods
  • 1:00 PM – RV Sites and Primitive Camping (Tent Sites)

Guests may arrive as early as 12:00 PM on their arrival date to begin using campground facilities (including river access).
Accommodations may not be ready until the listed check-in time.

Early arrival parking:
Please park in the overflow parking area near the barn until your accommodation is ready.

Check-Out Time

  • 11:00 AM – All accommodations

After check-out, guests may continue using campground facilities (including river access) until 2:00 PM at no additional cost.
Please move vehicles to the overflow parking lot near the barn and notify the office if you plan to remain on property after check-out.

2. Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Possibly, depending on availability.

  • Must be approved by the office in advance
  • Fee: $10 per hour, per accommodation

Keys and keychains must be returned to the office at check-out.
A $15 fee per unreturned key may be charged to the card on file.

3. What is provided with our stay?

Amenities vary by accommodation type. Each unit includes the essentials listed in its description. For a full breakdown of what to bring (and what’s already provided), please review our What to Bring guide: 👉 https://losrioscampground.com/what-to-bring

4. How far are the accommodations from the river?

The walking distances vary by cabin and range from 250ft to 615ft.

Guests may also drive to the river. There is a designated parking area about 50 feet from the main river hangout area, where most guests set up canopies, chairs, and floats. This entrance is at the lower part of the riverbank, making entry and exit easy—great for families, kids, and guests who prefer not to jump in.

5. Do accommodations include a fire ring, BBQ grill, and picnic table?

Tiny Homes, Cabin, and RV sites include a fire ring, BBQ grill, and picnic table.

Glamping Pods and tent sites include a fire ring with cooking grate and a picnic table, but do not include a BBQ grill.

6. Can we bring multiple vehicles, golf carts, or ATVs?

Yes, with limits.

  • Most accommodations allow up to 2 vehicles (Cabin 10 allows 4)
  • Additional vehicles: $10 per vehicle per day
  • Golf carts, ATVs, and side-by-sides must be street-legal, licensed, and insured
  • These vehicles count toward your vehicle limit
  • Campground speed limit is 5 MPH

Because accessing the river requires crossing River Road, local law enforcement and our insurance policy require street-legal vehicles only.

7. Can I set up a tent outside my accommodation?

Yes. You may add one tent per accommodation for $36 per stay.

  • Includes up to 2 additional guests
  • Guests may exceed the base occupancy of the accommodation
  • Additional guests may be subject to per-person charges where applicable
  • This add-on is booked as “Tent Site at Cabin”

8. Do you sell day passes?

Day passes are sold on a very limited basis, depending on campground occupancy.

  • Sold in person only at the office
  • First come, first served
  • Pricing varies by season, but typically:
    • $15–$25 per adult
    • $5 per child (ages 4–15)
    • Children 3 and under are free with an adult guardian

Tip: If you want guaranteed river access on a specific date, we recommend booking a tent site. Overnight stay is not required.

9. Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are allowed in select accommodations and RV sites.
Pet limits and fees vary by accommodation type—please confirm when booking.

10. Is the campground family-friendly?

Yes. Los Rios is very family-friendly, with easy river access, open outdoor space, and accommodations suitable for couples, families, and groups.

11. Can we drive around the campground?

Yes. Guests may drive within the campground, including to river access and parking areas. Please observe posted speed limits and watch for children and pedestrians.

12. Are quiet hours enforced?

Yes. Quiet hours are enforced to ensure a relaxing experience for all guests. Quiet hours are posted on-site and provided at check-in.

13. Can we have visitors?

Visitors are considered day-use guests and must follow day pass policies.
Availability is limited and subject to campground occupancy.

14. Is fishing allowed?

Yes! However, we do ask that you respect non-fishing guest's space as they do have priority to the water over fishermen. There is plenty of room to move up and down the river to fish in less crowded areas.

15. How is the cellular service? Any WiFi?

AT&T and Cricket have the strongest cellular service. Other carriers may be spotty depending on location.

WiFi is available but limited and not reliable for streaming or remote work.

We encourage guests to unplug, disconnect, and enjoy the river, nature, and time together - that's what Los Rios Campground is all about
